Everything you need to know about our activities
We offer canyoning such as Artazul, La Leze or Diablozulo and Via Ferrata such as Sobron.
It depends on the activity and the level. Initiation activities usually last between 3 and 4 hours. The intermediate ones, from 4 to 6 hours. Technical descents or long routes can take up the entire day (6-8 hours). Each activity card indicates the estimated duration.
We work with small groups: maximum 8 people per guide in initiation activities, and smaller groups (4-6 people) in technical activities. If you're a large group, we've added more guides to maintain the safety ratio.
Safety first. If the weather conditions are not suitable (storms, floods, strong winds), we cancel or reschedule at no cost. A light rain is not usually a problem in many activities, but we always evaluate each situation.
The initiation activities are designed for people with no previous experience. They are short routes, with optional jumps, simple rappels and a quiet pace. Our guides teach you all the techniques as you go. Perfect for your first time or to go with the family.
If you have already done some initiation activity and felt comfortable, you can try the intermediate level. It involves longer routes, higher rappels (up to 25-30m), some swimming sections and better physical condition. We also value your comfort in the water and with the altitude.
Advanced activities require demonstrable prior experience, good physical fitness and mastery of basic progression techniques. They include long rappels (40m+), technical walks, white water and 6-8 hour days. Contact us to see if it's right for you.
Yes, we have specific activities for families with children from 8 years old. They are short, very safe routes, with natural slides, swimming pools and optional low-altitude jumps. The little ones have a great time and the older ones too. We indicate the minimum age for each activity.
In the Basque Country and Navarre we operate mainly in spring and summer. We have spectacular ravines such as Artazul, Larraun or Arantzazu, and via ferrata such as Berriatua. The green landscape and limestone canyons make it a unique area to get started.
The Pyrenees are a paradise for technical canyoning. High mountain canyons with crystal clear waters, breathtaking rappels and next-level landscapes. We operate in summer, when the melting ice allows safe descents. Ideal for intermediate and advanced levels, although there are also beginner options.
Sierra de Guara is the cradle of canyoning in Europe. Its sandstone and limestone canyons, warm water and the variety of routes (from beginner to extreme) make it a world reference destination. Optimal season: May to October. A must if you like canyoning.
Basque Country and Navarre: April to October, best in spring and early summer. Pyrenees: July and August, when the melting water drops. Sierra de Guara: May to October, with warmer water in summer. We recommend you according to the date and what you are looking for.
We provide all the technical material (wetsuit, helmet, harness, ropes). You only bring: swimsuit, towel, sports shoes that can get wet (better if it supports the ankle), water and something to eat for later. We send you a detailed list when confirming the booking.
For initiation, it is enough to be in normal physical shape and know how to swim. You don't need to be an athlete. For intermediate and advanced levels, better condition is required: walking for several hours, swimming long stretches and enduring the cold of the water. Each activity indicates the recommended physical level.
For water canyoning, it is necessary to know how to swim. In via ferrata and dry rock activities it is not essential. If you don't swim with ease, we have some routes with fewer swimming sections where you can wear a vest. Ask us and we will guide you.
The ideal are trekking or sports shoes with good soles that you can get wet. Better if they support the ankle. Avoid flip-flops, thin booties or new unworn shoes. If you don't have suitable footwear, we can lend you canyoning boots for a small fee.
